I guess you'll just have to find the time to get back to that book! And ever since the "steroid era" of baseball, I no longer hold certain athletes in such high regard anymore. If any of them can retire without incident, then I will look up to them!

I can imagine the fun when sis, sis, sis and sis get together.

Is there no bro, by the way?

Re: lustorlove

If I was insulting you, and perhaps I was, I was also insulting myself.  It has been years since I have been able to balance my checkbook and my bank account.  I think that started when I got my first debit card.  The thing is, the way things are run these days, how can anyone keep track of anything and completely understand what is going on.  It's like you just have to accept what you are given, or drive yourself nuts trying to figure it out.

that is one thing about living alone it is quiet but sometimes too quiet, and when my kids come over it seems they stay forever.  Oh by the way I didnt quit understand your checkbook question.  I dont do a check book I seldom write checks all bills are paid throught the computer.  I feel it was an insult, but maybe its just me being touchy

Age and bad health don't always dim the inner light

For many souls, it shines brighter. Glad you can have nice visits with your Sis, Dear TAPS. And your quiet time sounds idyllic; I enjoy mine too, just wish there were more of 'em..:)
Ah yes, Lance - I can hardly believe it either.

the doping fiasco...some heads in Australia have rolled because of it..

my take darling Taps is that Armstrong still won for they were all doped up. The whole cycling sport has been riddled with doping for years, I had heard inside info. in Sydney years ago. So I say that Armstrong is still the greatest ever and has done so much for cancer research and care and for encouragement to have the courage to keep going despite the odds or perhaps because of the odds. I'll not be in the condemning camp!

Solitude? I vaguely remember that word. You'll have fun with the sisses, then pick up the book where you left off as they wave cheery goodbyes.

Seems to be hard on the athletes to be good when they become too rich and powerful.  Sad to see it all happen.   Have the best of visits with your sisters; sounds like a great time.

Everyone needs solitude sometimes

As for Lance... another pedastal crumbles.

Hugs to you and your sisters. Lucky girls to have so much to talk about.

I, too, appreciate silence at times. As for Lance, if he were the only cyclist who was doing it, I'd be a bit more critical, but it seems it's prevalent in that sport and all the finalists in the top five for several years they stripped his title had also been caught, so the officials are not moving anyone up to the winning spot. Still an amazing achievement in light of his health issues and all.

Well it is nice in a way that you all accept each other, Perhaps they do not get the  chance to express themselves in a way you do. I bet Son keeps out of the way, I would.

I know you'll have a wonderful visit with your Sisses (?)...LOL...

As to the Armstrong thing - of course he's 'guilty.' I still have some sympathy for the guy - a) He was just part of an entire 'doping culture'; b) he came back from the kind of cancer that in most cases is fatal, and he's done a lot for the fight against cancer since. Yes, it would have been much better if he had 'fessed up' earlier, and I think he should definitely do so now...
