Re: It would never occur to me to wrap pots outdoors to protect the roots...

Well Pat I try to cover anything that is exposed if the wind allows. We have pipes running under the floor of the house carrying hot water, so I have to block the air vents up and if it is terribly cold I leave the water running gently. I don't think we are talking petunias, more hardy plants that would get leaf scorch.

Re: Marisse

Re: CCT

Naut what is it about something that is hot and rubbery that excites so much passion. Sorry but I don't think you will get most joy with your doggie running in front of you.

Re: CCT

I don't know about a dollar, Wiley, I can't remember seeing peppers when I was a lad, so perhaps you were brought up on them with red meat.

Re: wiley

Dream on Wiley, you guys seem to like hot things , but then I cannot remember peppers when I was a lad, so perhaps you were brought up on them with a bit of red meat.

Re: Taps

Hi Taps I don't know how cold you get, but anything below freezing can crack eartthenware if it holds water.

Re:Shobana

Well done Shobana, I somehow think that we are going to get a wet winter. One has to be prepared though, a few bad days and spoil a lot of work, trust all is well.

Well, I hope you can counter the cold as it gets colder CC and well your poem reminded me of my two girls. Thankyou for stopping by my blog and yes I did an SOS, its being cleared right now at the immigration I think.

Hmmm...I don't know about the pots, but I think I'll get some fleece to cover my jugs if the winter is going to be really cold.

I grew some hot peppers last year...I don't like hot peppers, but, like you, I fretted over them just the same. The Mexican lady I gave them to said they were good for a gringo growing them and I guess that counts for something. The peppers will love you for it in the end CCT.

CCT

Sorry you lost your connection so now I'm a day late and a dollar shy. I hope all the peppers turn out, I love the red and green, especially hot red ones.

Peppers are always good, even when still green! And I'll be looking for a Pixie Princess when walking in our autumnal woods...

Frustration with the internet is a lesson in humility- at least you could whack a stone! Love the poem, my sprites did some awesome work on the leaves around here!

It is easy to imagine such sprites when the leaves are falling all around.  They seem like ones who should inhabit nice forests.  I wonder at times if they did at some time in history.

It would never occur to me to wrap pots outdoors to protect the roots...

Most winters it gets near zero here, and the whole thing would freeze solid, so that would be an exercise in futility. Still, it's nice to think of petunias in fuzzy booties. :)

New technology is great until it breaks down. so keep working with

your chisel and stone. LOL...I love red peppers. i love anything that creates a really hot food.

The poem what can I say....but there is always something new to learn by a fellow student of the Parallel world. You are sure that fairies snore????

The Internet can be such a hassle at times...I had an English teacher, who always called us Pixies...You touch upon the senses well in the poem.
