I do not agree with you at all. You fail to regonize that these people are out there dying so that you can show them absolutely no appreciation whatsoever. A lot of these soldiers are out there fighting a war that they don't even believe in just so you can have a safe place to sleep at night. I have been an Army Brat my whole life so maybe I understand a little bit more than most people exactly what these soldiers go through. No they may not be better than everybody else, but they do deserve the recognition that they are getting. They do deserve to be put into a special category. They are defending our country and they deserve some credit for that. Oh and my husband is currently deployed and I may have a biased opinion, but I think that you are wrong in your assumptions. I think that you should take into consideration exactly what the sacrifices these soldiers are making to ensure that you can sit here and belittle what they do. You have made it sound like soldiers are just doing an ordinary day to day thing. No my husband doesn't consider himself a hero and neither does any other soldier I know. However, I KNOW that they are our heros and should be appreciated. I'm sorry to say that I do not agree with you whatsoever.

Perhaps one can recognize that there are different types of soldiers. And that there are warriors. That they are not the same thing.
I agree with your point. The greatest soldiers I have ever met (and I have met many) are those who believe as you do.
