They will miss you and the baby quickly! I agree with Naut. Let her bring the goodies or make them herself. She can add, you do not need to be cooking for her.

Yep, I know what you mean, even though I rarely have to do more than buy the booze, LOL...And if Baltimore Sis has so much excess energy, you can always put her to work...

Yes, there is a lot of work that goes into entertaining.

yes you can do it....and since it's not the first time you know what to expect....why not ask others to help with it?

I am on my way to help with the baby snatch. I'll drive the get away van

we don't entertain. I have had a life time of it and because we are on our own here, we don't entertain and we love it.

That screeching bird may be doing something else, so you may not to emulate him!   My wife and I are going to be having out-of-town guests soon ourselves, and my wife calls getting the house ready DEFCON 5! But it's worth it.

I hear ya.  I'm already cringing at all that will need to be done to host Christmas Eve dinner (which we've chosen to do for the past 5 years).  It's dinner for 12, secret Santa for the adults and individual gifts and treats for 4 small grandchildren.  In reality that's a pretty small crowd compared to what some people do but nonetheless I'm already sighing. The upside of this tradition or strategy is that everyone leaves by 7:30/8:00 and "B" and I spend the rest of Christmas Eve and Christmas alone eating left-overs and watching movies.   I can do it, I can do it, I can do it.

No I don't want the bother of entertaining Taps. Most folk are too polite to say what a muddle although a lot of it is Arthur's like thirty books stacked in the living room. Sadly only a woman can keep a place looking nice. Tell your sister she must not expect you to chase around like a two year old, 15 years you could be her mother.
