What a loving sister!

Back in the 90's they closed most of the convents that I know of....which is a raw deal for the nuns....they pay them a salary and from that they have to buy a house and share or rent apartment....but the priests wellllllllllllllllllllllll....they still get that big ole rectory with a housekeeper etc....so much for equality!

You raised some great kids, with a daughter just as loving and kind as her momma. Hey, neighbours with kids could be good if they are old enough to do things for you.

I really enjoyed sitting here reading this and in my heart sipping coffee

while we chatted and enjoyed the view from your porch.

That was nice! Enjoyed a coffee here too. So happy to hear your daughter is doing well, and her attitude sounds much like my daughter's!

That was long but interesting bog Pat . You have some good kids, way they were brought up for sure. Hope you can find a publisher, it will be a good boast for your moral.

I would hate that poison Ivy we only have the ordinary one here and I don't like messing that about much. I did notice a variegated one was established in the garden. Foolishly I rescued it from a green house forty years ago just a little babby.Don't these kids grow up/.

When I look out my window I still see green, and I will until my cedars in the back are covered in white, probably around Christmas...Your daughter is clearly a very special lady, and I'm glad she has recovered so well; luckily, facial scars often disappear completely - I know that from my own experience, LOL...

I definitely was drinking coffee while I read it.  I felt like I was sitting there on your front porch with you.  I'm so glad your daughter is basically back to normal and healing so well.  That was such a nasty accident that I was worried about her.
Loved "the visit".
