Thanks, C C T. And I believe if you highlight the blog and hit "command +" you can enlarge the type to any size you'd like. I just prefer to work in 12 pt. type because it is so standardized. Give it a shot.

Lovely Idea Jimmy . Very touching. Any chance of reading your writing in a bit larger print, I have a job to focus.

Re: Why, of course, often such unplanned things are the best!

Since we've been married, Straight, my wife and I have experienced other such spontaneous "happenings" that were always unique, fun and delightful, but nothing such as this. Like I wrote, the timing was incredible, and greatly appreciated!

Re: Tell your wife, from me, that she got one of the good ones.

Thank you very much, Ciel. I'll be sure to pass on your message.

Why, of course, often such unplanned things are the best!

I have seen such crossing contrails either.

Tell your wife, from me, that she got one of the good ones.

She'll know what I mean.

 And happy birthday to her!

Re:

They really are, shobana. In fact, one of the things that my wife and I were saying afterward was the fact that we could have gone anywhere that day, but chose to go somewhere that was due West, right toward that huge X in the sky! Any other direction, and we probably would not have seen it! Yes, things do happen for a reason . . .

Re: what a wonderful gift and just hen it was needed. Her sister doesn't

I think she is, Kabu.   Believe it or not, she did get a card from her sister, one of the only forms of communication between them right now, which is probably for the best. Her sister is actually a very selfish person ( by my wife's accounts ) and getting a card from her a few times a year ( Christmas, anniversary, birthday, etc. ) is really nothing short of a miracle! A long story for another day. For now, it's my job to make, and keep, my wife as happy as possible, and that's what I strive for each and every day.

Re: JimmyA

I suppose it was, Wiley. I'm just thankful that it happened on the way to our destination, so there were other distractions afterward to assuage her overall emotions. It turned out to be a wonderful day!

Re: Jimmy

It really was, Naut. And like I said, I had never seen two contrails intersect so perfectly before, and the timing could not have been better!

Re:

In a way, luster, I almost wish my wife wouldn't get that emotional, simply because I feel so helpless during those "crying spells." But that's just the way she is, and I simply have to do what I must to remain loving and patient.

Re:

It absolutely was, Annicita, and was wonderfully timed as well! I suppose the situation was akin to having someone pass through your mind, and then the phone rings, and it's that person. You find yourself saying "Hey, I was just thinking about you!" That's pretty much what happened!

Re:

Thanks, FSI. Things like that don't occur too often, but when they do ( and on such a large scale ) they do make you stop and think. And I know it couldn't have been anything else but a kiss from beyond . . .

Re:

You're quite welcome, adnohr. I suppose it's one of those tales that are happy and sad at the same time, but amazing nonetheless. It is a big universe indeed!

What an awesome day, just having each other for company during special moments are monumental I think.

what a wonderful gift and just hen it was needed. Her sister doesn't

realize that since your lovely wife has no children you are her only family. a card or something would ne nice for your wife to get. But that is life at times and she is blessed to have you there for her.

No - you can't plan things like that...and it was no coincidence (they don't exist!), and I fully believe that it was a kiss from the universe, of which her parents are part...as we all are. Lovely, lovely post. It brought tears. Thank you for sharing this!
