Re: Re: Re: Clever... but you should have bought her new pins!
I honestly wish I could, Ciel, but at this point in time, I'm still one of those "green" computer people who has no idea how to post pics here! I've tried, but unsuccessfully. Perhaps in the near future . . .

How about taking a picture of it and posting it here? I'd love to see it!

Re:
Thanks, luster. That was one of those "spur of the moment" deals once I had spotted those pins! It really makes the trophy look even more authentic, even though this is something strictly between my friend and I.

Re:
Thanks, Utah. Any pool players out there who might appreciate a tale such as this?

Re:
Well, I don't know about that, Annicita, but sometimes I can't help but wonder what would have happened if we showed the trophy shop owner what we did, and inspire them to do something similar when the time came to make those trophies for actual tournaments. I guess in that case, I would have been more of an innovator than an inventor. Who knows?

Well, Kabu, I must be honest. I'm sure that, after my friend's mom saw what I did to her pins, she was probably more than ready to stick all of those pins in my . . . well, you know! Yeah, yeah, I should have replaced them! Maybe next time . . .

Re:
Glad you enjoyed it, adnohr. Sometimes relaying certain "life experiences" is enjoyable for me to write, too. And as Jimmy Durante once quipped "I got a million of 'em!"

Re:
Thanks, TAPS. Yes, the trophy looks marvelous either way. But the little, muli-colored balls on the table really makes it come to life. It is such a cool keepsake!

Re:
Over thirty years and counting, FSI. Like I wrote, we somehow just don't get the chance to shoot as often as we once did, but whenever we do, every game is logged!

Re: Clever... but you should have bought her new pins!
You're right, Ciel. I should have either bought her new pins or, once I realized that those types of pins existed, just gone ahead and got them for myself to cut up. I guess it was just an impulse once I spotted them! And no, I don't think beebees would have worked either! Believe me, it really looks wonderful with all of those tiny, colorful pinheads scattered on the tabletop!

Very creative if I may say so myself...That's cool how you two have played billiards against one another for so many years.

Clever... but you should have bought her new pins!
My first thought was of beebees, painted up, but they might be too big, if pin heads are just right.
