Xeno-x, well the GOP has the wealthy at heart, no doubt.

Re: The debate did not change my mind in any way.

Pat, Yes I noticed that.  It seemed that Obama was being patient with a juvenile delinquent.  And people noticed because the polls have not flipped.  What Truman is known for saying ...you can fool some of the people some of the time...

no clear winner

it was romney's excitable demeanor that made him appear to make more points.

Obama did not call Romney on the many lies Romney told.  Not even showing the fallacy in the 716 billion supposed to be taken from Medicare - not even explaining the plan.

i was disappointed there.

even the democrats even Obama -- are not left of center, having been cowed by misrepresenting rhetoric of the right beginning with Reagan.

and we need more liberal views.

if i were not afraid of the republicans and their destructive right wing agenda and see that voting democrat at this time is the best way of defeating them, I would support the more left leaning groups like the Green Party more.

right now I am voting against the conservative republican right wing ultra conservative christian fundamentalist philosophy - not in favor of that of the democrats necessarily, only in favor of defeating republicans and making their philosophy a thing of the past

It was an interesting debate to say the least.

The debate did not change my mind in any way.

But Mr. Romney did seem more highly caffeinated than usual. Didn't like that smirk on his face as he "listened" (paused talk until it was his turn) - but then I thought Mr. Obama seemed less involved than he ordinarily is, not quite so much on point. Amazing still, knowledgeable and confident, but subdued. And poor Mr. Lehrer... sigh.  It was interesting when they got to the affordable health care issue and how, after  GW... er, I mean Mitt, dissed it, the President congratulated him for creating a useful model in his home state for the nation to use.
