It's a tragedy that you haven't had them, they are the best toasted baked product of them all.  I would suggest you pettition Warburtons to sell them in your area (they make some of the best)

That is tragic, crumpets are a must for a cold winters' night.  Just butter for me though - enough that id drips though the bottom...

Love it.
When Grandson Peter was about 10 years old I told him that if he would bring in some wood for the fireplace that I would fix tea.  I had toasted some crumpets and served them with butter and marmalaid and the tea in my pretties teacups.  He loved it.  He'd never heard of a crumpet before.
