I hope this resolves soon.  Things like this strain the whole family.

Here is to hoping that everyone moves on well after the election...Like you, I'm skeptical with how things are now.

I sort of wish I could care about politics anymore, I hope they can get over it and see family is more important and that those are the real people in their lives .   At least it is just 2 relatives, and she is friendly with the rest of the family.

Oh boy - I would hate for that to happen in my family. I think Pat_B is right and it will hopefully blow over after the elections are done.

It's a shame that politics are getting in the way of more important thing, there is an old saying that I think applies to politics in both our countries:  Whether the wolf wins or the bear wins, the rabbit always loses.

Well it it all so funny Taps neither candidate cares button about them. I never say who I support because I know they only want my vote and the power that goes with it with thousands more.

I must believe that in this day and age when the American people are being divided by class, religion, race, and sexual preferences by the President himself, that these sort of things were not only expected, but planned...It's how they win elections now.

An understanding is a good thing to have.  LOL

What silliness! It would be so easy to make Sis see the error of her choice, and everything would be fine, LOL. Seriously, though, in this family we have a kind of tacit understanding that people avoid discussing politics, unless they more or less share the same political views.

what a shame. and over something that really isn't going to make much

difference one way or the other no matter what the media try to tell us. It has even gone nuts in Australia my son says ...and as he says who cares down there but the media insist that everyone needs to be all fired up about the USA elections. I am going to bed for what 6 weeks!!!!!

The dangers of FB or Texting or even emails for that matter.  Better to have these kinds of discussions (if in fact they have to take place at all) face to face over a coffee, glass of wine, or a beer.  Sorry to hear about the family dispute - they are such a terrible waste of time.

taps, a pity but some take an apology as permit to abuse your feelings.

Many people see this country as it was meant to be seen, as belonging to the people. We take asults to the country very seriously. That is all I have to say.

It would be funny if it weren't so painful to all concerned.

I'd bet a nickel if either of them needed a kidney transplant, the other would line up to get tested. Weird how that kind of tit-for-tat stuff can escalate.

Betty,

When it comes to politics, ours is a house divided. That's why we don't discuss it.

I just can't stand it when people have such petty and ridiculous squabbles with each other.  I can understand why you want to cry and wouldn't blame you if you did!

Oh, I hope they make this up!
