trouble with Welfare.....well there are a pile of trouble.....it breeds a

sub culture of a way of life. not always of course I am writing generalities but it is so sad to see generations following each other, a minimum of years in second standard schools...and yes in Australia anyway, there are differences in schools. Some public schools get the best...teachers, equipment, buildings, parent support, competitive spirit..........

then leaving or kicked out to go on welfare. one way or another. there are programmes things are improving with compulsary courses one must take, but there are ways to get sacked from a job pretty quick and then 6 months of welfare before one needs to worry.

and hospital waiting unless it is an, emergency can take years.

and there are Government housing suburbs that are given names not very flattering names. Difficult to have pride in self and life and try getting a job with certain addresses on your application.  time I stopped before I write a book.

Re:

You are right, Jimmy - too many reproduce over and over again mindlessly. We need to accept human sexuality and promote birth control - abstinence as preached by the far right clearly does not work. The OctoMom seemed as though she was seeking worldwide attention in the most bizarre way. I worry about all those poor kids! And I agree, though with a sad heart - that we are indeed "full." Thank you for commenting.

I have to concur, and point out the obvious . . . there's just too many people! I know that may sound harsh or crude, but the truth hurts sometimes. People barely being able to feed themselves now should not be having more and more children. When I read that that woman a few years ago who had octoplettes through artificial insemination already had five children, my head almost exploded! As the population increases, the job availability decreases! Sometimes I think someone should hang a giant sign on the Statue of Liberty that reads "Sorry . . . full!"

A reasonable explanation for the way our economies in the west can't handle the poor and jobless.
