Very nice, but I must admit I'm just slightly confused. The poem seems like it can be construed as an ode to love-lost to many different circumstances. Is there a specific one you were trying to convey, or is it general? Either way, I've been there too. I hope your "new friend" understands and appreciates your conveyance.
