I don't care who he is or where he is from, in my humble opinion he is an ineffective leader who has no clue what's going on around the world! sam

Re: Katray2

Interesting things happening in Canada. I've read a bit at various news sites and your "insider" view informs even more, WileyFriend. Thank you!

Katray2

I'm wishy washy with politics, I usually vote for a person rather than a party. Right now I'll vote for the first federal party in Canada that helps Quebec separate and stop their yapping about it, which only demeans them as a possible separate culture. It also stops Canada from growing up. Well there, I kept out of the situation in the U.S.A., aren't ya proud luv?LOL

OH Dear! dear, I thought was bad enough over here, so I am just creeping past in my , why did I not leave a calling card and run. All I can say as a country we have to support USA. It is up to you (the voters) to keep it great.

Actually, I read all this and don't feel that I can comment

except that if I go back to Australia and suggest that they should bring themselves up to the USA.........Oh and back home I, like Taps am a Conservative, although back there it is called Liberal/Country party. But probably I am a moderate...yes I am a moderate.

Re:

Excellently said, Annicita! Again, I agree with every word. I think it is part and parcel of an attempt to delegitimize his presidency and the man himself - start with his origin and working their way down low..But truth gets in the way for many conservatives..
Thank you for commenting..

Re:

Beautifully stated, TAPS! I have gathered you were conservative; I am not a dyed-in-the wool liberal myself. I hate abortion; the partial birth procedure truly grieves me and I am so thankful it has been stopped. I have my issues with Obama and I understand no elected official is perfect - far, far from it. But yes, he, like Bush and other pols I disagree with was elected through our democratic process and that should be respected.
In the news and politics blog I once wrote, I voiced many complaints about Bush and his administration. But I researched my material carefully and tried very hard to not post lies and distortions. My views came through of course, but they were based on real and linked information. The few times I was called out for "iffy" facts, I apologized to my readers and corrected the post. Not trying to sound like an angel or something, but false facts are usually discovered and anyway, my feeling has always been, what's the point of twisting or out and out lying? People are not as easily swayed or as stupid as some may believe. And even if they are, you have to wonder what is the benefit of a misinformed and duped citizenry? Nothing positive, methinks...
Anyway, thank you and know I have the utmost admiration for your writing talent and for you as a person.

i think taps and i have the same list of people!   im tired of hearing about what conservatives say is barack's origin and religion....too bad they are so focused on that they don't hear the real news going on around them!

One who reads me and my comments on some posts would probably never guess that I am conservative at heart and lean toward matters of the right.  I find myself fighting against conservatives so often because of things they say and such obvious feelings of hatred manifest against the person that was voted president by the American people.  There is such a better way.  Prayer for and support of our leaders, as is taught in our scriptures, opens the way for God to work in special ways in our land.
