I never thought about the fact that the amount of people who hold particular beliefs would effect how others respond to them.

They had some tweets, mostly from Muslim university students, doing exactly that. Making fun of Muslim Rage (Newsweek).  A quote from CNN:

"Thousands of tweets bearing the hashtag #MuslimRage filled Twitter, showcasing satire at its best -- the type, by definition, which uses "wit, irony, or sarcasm used to expose and discredit vice or folly."...The tweets -- posted mostly by Muslims it seems -- are a comedic roast of the specious proposition that was peddled to us by Newsweek.

Examples:

I told my shrink I was feeling suicidal and he reported me to the FBI #muslimrage

Couldn't toss football around since the ball was made of pigskin #MuslimRage"

So...

Why do they pray five times  a day? Is Islam so bland they might forget they are religious? Or does the brainwashing have to be so complete so they can't see through it?

I would laugh at them, but I can't help but wonder if the energy waisted in curling my lips up is worth the effort.

Pink tutus all around...!

My theory falls in line with yours: mock and deride and laugh at their guy, so much they exhaust themselves trying to kill everyone grinning. More 'insults,' more more more...! Until they get it, that you can't freak out over everyone who doesn't like you or believe in your stuff.

If we did that, they'd already be gone.
