Lots of good news with the smoke. The kid will regret it in jail. Glad to hear the kids are all on the uptake.

It's terrible what that kid did. I sure hope that the fire gets under control. Every time I think that people have done it all, something like this ends up happening.

Good grief, that kid had a special kind of stupid, didn't he? I would love to understand how he got to that point, what was going on in his head, because I think it an extreme version of the selfish will full stupidity that I see in an awful lot of young folks.

Re:
It's tough to go anywhere in the Northwest without the fear of fire and so the smoke is so unavoidable that it's downright scary! Christopher is finished with the Army in March of 2013. He is definitely getting out because he ended up getting shafted by the Government. He was extremely disappointed and I felt bad for him but it's time to move on. As a mother I was so happy I couldn't stand myself! He said that if he wasn't getting married he would have gone back to Afghanistan again! I flat out told him that I couldn't take another tour of duty because it's just too tough on those that are left behind. So, I am doubly happy he is getting married next summer! Christopher will get a permit to take dead trees off state land and it will end up costing him his time to cut it down and buck it up into pieces! He already put his father's wood up for the coming winter! He is a very good son! sam

Sam I would try and get a house that won't be affected by smoke in the future, has Christopher finished with the Army now? One wouldn't want a wood burner stove much over here now a small bundle of wood is a fiver. Once in the villages the villagers used to go wooding in the surrounding forest, but there is no way the grandchildren could afford a cottage renovated for folk who can afford a second home. The last time I went by the Forest it looked like it was having a good cleanup probably to make way for pheasant shooting et cetera. Chin up

Lock him up and throw away the keys and make Daddy pay for all the
damage and anguish. Unbelievable behaviour...but then this World is beyond my comprehension.

You sure have a lot of fire to deal with and I'm sure your son will be alright and at least he isn't like the son of that poor man that's had to deal with an arsonist. Prayin' for you luv.

first of all...how sad that a child has to do that to get his father's attention! is he one of those dads that doesn't know his kid is alive unless he is in trouble? if so then the dad needs a good a** kicking!
Don't worry ... just keep concentrating and writing about your ideal home...it will happen...you have to believe that
and last but certainly not least...congrats to christopher!

We're hearing a lot about the many fires out West caused by arsonists - is it a case of monkey see-monkey do? But it's good to hear Christopher is doing well, and maybe that will be an incentive for Mik...
