Re:Sounds almost as if my laptop's problems spread to yours.

Does Dragon tend to make problems, too?

Re: Actually, the Hudson is tidal - salt or fresh all the way

up to Troy, depending on when you catch it.  And the Blue Trail starts (a triple blue blaze) right there in Fort Lee, NJ.  If you want to say it therefore ends there, too, okay.  Depends on the poem you're writing.

Re: Yes, Taps, as kids, my friend Marty and I used to fantasize

about hopping one of New York Central's northbound freights going through Van Cortlandt Park.  Especially during the spring!

I loved the close! As a kid and a 20 something I lived near Canada and I loved every minute of my time in Canada! sam

I find people of the street interesting subjects and I thought you brought the mood home, but wouldn't the river, flowing south, need to learn to American having been born Canadian? Don't mind me Bob, my brain is mush. We just got home from purchasing another car, five hours of haggling is too much for my little pee brain...Great work as usual.

I like this one.  I always thought that if I had been a boy, I would have spent some of my early years hoboing.  It was never very enticing to think about being another Boxcar Bertha.

Re: Thanks, Adnohr. The "rambling" idea really grabbed me.

Re: an excellent poem well worth waiting for and we all get those Computer

Right now I've got a jury-built connection that by-passes my router and keeps me from doing all the stuff I'd like, but the important thing is that I can compose onscreen and post something each day - as long as that's possible.

I like this poem too - I like the thought of a hobo having the freedom to follow the trail to Canada.
