And there is still so much to learn about smart cell phones, and all the Pad gadgets and kindles, etc., that I have not had any interest in or money for, so thrilled to figure anything at all about my cameras and computer.

Lots of 'progress'. There's one problem with it: The life of a disk doesn't exceed much more than a decade, hard drives somewhat longer. But we have books that are hundrds of years old...

I think I am beginning to steel myself to resist any more gadgets, I have put things on discs and then cannot find the damn things, not the discs but the articles. At least if it is on paper it is lurking around somewhere and eventually makes good compost at the end of its life span. The sad thing is I cannot throw my tape recorders and machines that run on tapes away because I know there are some things hidden in them that I really ought to suss out.
