I dont know how expensive it was to go out on your own, but unless you had a roomate you cant live in CA alone, its four times more expensive there than here, and I am sure we arent the lowest place to live.

Its no wonder then women are always so resilient and manage to take on the sole responsibility of making a good life for their kids and themselves. Men normally have it easy I guess having to only look after themselves after a divorce.

I was divorced and raised my three children without a husband or any interest from their father. They went to work early, to school in time and got out on their own early. My daughter and I are close but we do not share in each other's business or life except to visit. I love her and she loves me but our individual lives comes first with each of us. I don't understand it any other way. Just like you said we all do it our way and don't understand the other ways. Be blessed.

there is nothing wrong with being close to your children no matter what age they are!
as far as getting out....check online for local groups that cater to your age group....church, community center etc....and then get out and enjoy yourself!

the issue with money, the problems were not my childrens fault just a lot of bad luck, dont worry about me I will survive and as long as they do what they say they will do for me when I am unable to do for myself that is all I can ask

nice post darling and it thrills me to read that you are happy in your dear
little home that you have been decorating to your liking and planting your garden. That you are close to your Children is wonderful especially as we get older and it must be nice to feel that they will eventually be there to give you a hand if needed.
I understand that it would be nice to have some male company at times and i wish that for you, ...but because we your friends here love you and have concerns for you, we worry at times that financially your Children should at least be independent if not helping you out. None of what we comment is meant to hurt though, it is just loving concern.
