I am with Kabu and Wiley, although I thought the mean old man part must be a hidden personality trait that we don't get to see.

Pat dear you are such a talent that I completely believed your post
yesterday. Once again I am in awe. Now I am thoroughly enjoying the pictures that you are writing of your days of work back then.

You were adorable Pat, or those old men of thirty would have ignored you. I was in the Pay Corps for a while and we used to have to write all the new recruits details on sheets of printed card we hated the one in charge and he was not very bright.Once he made a glaring mistake awarding every new recruit an extra 30 shillings or so. We watched him take the template into the printing room and the next day 300 sheets came back to us.
I don't think this is right someone said , we had to alter all by hand as the culprit looked sick.

You do both so well--crabby/merry, and everything else.
You are so much fun to read that I pretty much make you my first stop every day after I boot up.
