This is my favorite so far, as I read down through your poems.
A poignant reflection of the disappointment of aging, the sense of lost usefulness... though I also like TAPS comment, another side of the quilt, so to speak.

I have one of those about 3/4 of the way through that process, made totally by hand by my Oklahoma Grandma many years ago. I love it even though it is raggedy.

i love wrapping a quilt around me in the winter and sipping some cocoa as i watch a movie or read a book
