This is a sad tale that has been going on forever. Sadly now we see more and more female teachers sleeping with their male students. This is totally sad, disgusting and part of taking equality too far. Who wants to be equal with slime? Well done.

There is way, way too much of that, and it is not love. It is a sickness that ruins men...and their victims...and their families....a terrible sickness for which there seems to be no cure.

A man like this is sick, emotionally sick. Emotions are generated in the brain and no one knows for sure how and why. Had anyone bothered to check if the man was on OTC medication, or new OTC medication, or had undergone recent surgery, however minor? All these things and many more can have a bearing on emotions. One thing is certain - the man had no ability to control his emotions. Ergo: he was/is sick.

Almost a repeat for a teacher 20 years past in St, Bruno, QC where I lived, same age etc. and he wound up with 6 years in the slammer.I think sentences for ruining a young girls life ought to be a minimum 10 years and bring back the lash that they used in QC in my lifetime.

The man is paying dearly for his stupidity and lust, as is his family. As for the girl? I don't know, but at 17 I knew enough to tell a dude I didn't want hanging around to get lost, in no uncertain terms. Maybe more details would change my mind, but none of my sympathies for the young lady - they're all for the man's family.

One possibility: high school girls, no matter how beautiful, doubt themselves, suffer from low self-esteem. Flattery and attention from a respected adult can be very seductive. It's also possible this perv knew very well how to groom and seduce his target.

Come on Pat it is sad for everyone maybe women do not realise the sexual attraction it is not love obviously, that this man may have felt, it was a kind of madness he had the same at home hopefully. I do not condone his action of course, but why did this girl not tell him to get lost. Maybe she was frightened? I don't know, if so I would have no sympathy with him at all.
