A fitting poem, I imagine, for a man who was doing a tough job in tough times. No place for flowery bedside manner - he knew he would have to hurt his patients to help them. Fun that you still have his picture.

Wow, pretty cool stuff Jay. How interesting it must be to find your ancestry like that. A doc too...Hmm, are there any other docs in your current or recent family? It would be interesting to know if anyone took after ol' uncle Jim. Good write.
