What , enjoyed that of course, a nice tribute to an oldtimer bar fella. When I drank 'Tavernes' were men only in Quebec.

That's the trouble with the New World...we don't value our own
heritage enough. We go back to the UK or Ireland or some place on the Continent and rave about the fact that our ancestors came from there.....forgetting the wonderful home where we were born and grew up....so no one protests much when it gets torn down.

I get sad over such things myself. It seems like, every time I go to an area near my old hometown where I haven't been in a while, something is different, something is missing, something has changed! Why can't "they" just leave certain things alone? That's progress for ya, and it isn't always better!
