I seem to know all the ones who are passing away but not the new ones that are just now becoming well known.  Do you think that says something about my age?

Phyllis lived in st louis for a long time with her ex husbands family.  She wrote her autobiography and tells of all the woes she had in her life but still came out laughing.

95 she was such a character, she even lived way longer than most.

I always loved her comedy...brilliant and I remember oh years ago now, they had pictures in a magazine of celebrity women photographed when they woke up and before the make up and stuff. Phyllis Diller was superb. She looked an absolute wreck!!!Joan Collins looked like she had stepped from the beauty parlour, just as lovely without make up as with....can't remember any one else.

I loved and grew up with Phyllis Diller too. It was a terrible loss. And I really don't care if this sounds chauvinistic or not, but she was one of only two female stand-up comics that I actually enjoyed ( Joan Rivers being the other ). I'm sorry but the rest of the female stand-up comics are simply not funny! Diller was!

Well I thought any husband would have laughed at that joke Pat. Perhaps the name niggled a bit, I hope he's chuckling now. No disrespect. I am afraid this happens as we get older, we did not notice the inevitable when young.

I loved that lady too! We used to tease my Mom, tell her that her morning hair was 'Phyllis Diller' hair. Phyllis gave us many hours of excellent entertainment, now it's her turn to rest up.
