Thank you Justi for your thoughtful comment. I appreciate your point of view and that you took the time to talk with me on this issue. You're correct, I don't know Paul Ryan's background well enough, but I'm still researching - and nothing I've found so far gives me confidence in his intentions. I am a woman who has been strong and worked long before anybody was pro women. I think anyone who said what this man said about rape is not ready for any public position if it is dog catcher. He is not competent to hold a door open certainly not an office. Personally I do make it a point to research the information on all fronts and I find nothing to support the words against Ryan or Romney. I have been to tea party meetings and not once did I see them leave trash, speak trash nor be vile. I have voted Democrat and I have voted Republican. I have never voted for anyone from the junk another person told me without checking it out. I do not vote party but reality. I have been enjoying your posts and appreciating your ability as a writer, this post is not up to par on those points and it is not because of you party preference. You do not know Paul Ryan, or the difference he will make in a positive manner for the elderly. I am one of them and that made a good cause for my researching him some time back. I have not meant this to be rude just my true feelings for your post.

oh im from missouri and that idiot is running against claire mccaskill.....i dont think he has a snowball's chance in hell in winning this election now....at least i hope the women of missouri especially sat up and took notice of this idiot and his bull...i know i did

wonderful Post darling. I am with you, I cannot take any more American
vitriolic hate campaigns. My Wonder land that I admire so is tearing itself assunder and i cannot watch. Women for goodness sake stand up for ourselves as we did in the 20th century. Legitimate Rape.!!!!!!! I nearly fainted when I heard those words. It is your body gals....not some would be narrow minded male who is power hungry and probably cheats on his wife.

When I saw that headline in the news, I thought to myself..and what exactly does this sick puppy call 'legitimate rape'? Boy oh boy - America is hard up for candidates in this election!!! Well written and truthful post, Pat_B!
