Re: JimmyA
It doesn't always, Wiley, as we all know. But in this particular case, it was definitely a positive outcome! And once more, I'll never do that again!

Good that sometimes life turns out exactly as it should, positively.

Yes, luster, I was extremely lucky! And anyone going in and out of that bathroom, whether they were a "weirdo" or not, could have easily walked away with that wallet! Believe me, I'll never make that mistake again!

Re:
Perhaps, Utah. But you're right. There are still some "good Samaritans" out there . . . you just rarely hear about them because it's become easier to simply reflect on and report the "negative" things going on around us. I'm glad I got my wallet back too. By the way, welcome back!

Re: good for you for writing this good news story. Unfortunately people
Thanks, Kabu. And that's very true. It seems the news is usually filled with a lot of "negative" things, and very few movies lately have you leaving the theater feeling good. It is nice every once in a while to hear or read about something "positive" for a change. And believe me, I will never again leave my wallet in an airport bathroom . . . you can bet your boots on that!

Re:
No, it's not particularly fun, FSI. But I think you were lucky in that you only "misplaced" your wallet somewhere in your house. But when you discover it's missing after you're already a thousand miles from it . . . what a feeling! Yes, I was very lucky!

Of course, adnohr! That's pretty much what I meant by a "balance of the cosmos!" I would never, ever keep a wallet I may have stumbled upon, nor would I pilfer anything out of it! What comes around usually goes around, and I do hope that something wonderful happened to that janitor ( or someone close to him ) for his honesty.

Re:
Well, Annicita, it appears you've run the full gammit of feeling the loss of certain items to the joy of having something returned. Yes, I feel I was extremely lucky to not only get my wallet back, but to get it back completely in tact! I hope I never have to go through that again!

that was so very lucky especially in a airport so big and with all kinds of weirdos coming and going I would say that was unusual.

I believe that there is goodness all around us on a daily basis, it's just that we focus on the bad. I blame it on the media who have a hard time selling advertising space with nice stories. So they focus on the bad and that kind of stuff always rolls down hill. Now we focus on the bad too...Glad you got your wallet back...It must be karma.

That is awesome how you were able to get your wallet back in tact...I've lost my wallet a time or two, thankfully in my house. It's no fun.

It's for sure that janitor will have something nice happen to him...or to someone he cares about. In spite of dissenters, I've seen it happen often. And, of course, you will do something nice for someone too! That's the way it goes!
