I've met my share of racists and they chap my hide.  I have given a lot of prejudiced people something to think about, but racists are not worth the effort.  They don't think, they just react in an ugly way.

Thank you so much for your thoughtful response. I love the idea of a free and tolerant society, where prejudices are merely personal bias and part of the free speech deal. It will take some time before we truly live the belief that "all men (and women) are created equal," but that will be a good day.

Praise be! I'll be posting a new blog about this one, CCT. I love the determination of Europeans in general, and Brits especially to live harmoniously and multiculturally.

We  ALL have our prejudices. I think this is natural. Anyone who is not prejudiced in some way or another has no independent, subjective views, preferences, etc. There is a very big difference between prejudice and racism. In a free and tolerant society, to be prejudiced is, or should be looked upon as, an individual's right. Racism is another matter altogether and if it impinges on another person's life or if it harms anyone, it should be treated by society in the same way as any other activity which harms.  Any post that makes you think and reflect is a good post. This is a very good post. - Pannonian

Well it is I suppose the pecking order . Mind we don't treat some of our own colour too well at times, I would like to think I agreed with the gentleman, but I have not had much occasion to test his veiws. I do note that some schools have many more coloured chilren than white and they all seem to get on together.
