Re:

Well you were right about the truck drivers Shobana, but believe me girls were just as frightening. Why does a bird fly and young lady nothing is clinging to me only some ointment called Tiger's  Claw, it deters all things female, like mosquitoes.

Re:

Yes Lion I don't know about talent there were barren years, but of course as you say it has all changed.

I see talent has been your companion for a while, then.  I liked both of these but the first especially as it contained a certain innocence which is hard to find now

Hi CC, I loved the 50's poem - an era when girls were girls, shy and demure and boys were showing off with an ambition to be truck drivers!!. Hope you are off your diet - for God's sake CC, why do you diet - you could take in a walk in the park and lose whatever it is that is clinging on to you!!

Thank you a few of the old fairs have survived but they are much too noisy now. A bit dreamy in those days perhaps

Cotswold Hills - sounds like a song to skip to - or dance rope, if that's what some people callit. The second poem is just breathtaking beautiful!

I like the symbolism that the apple possesses.
