It is nice for you to have your son with the understanding of how human relationships are not cut and dried. OK hubby turned out not so good, you made the best of it, illness may have twisted his mind and of course you had the good sense to make a life for the kids, you should be proud of yourself Pat.

weddings and funerals....they really are throwing a pebble into a pool and

watch the disturbance widen. What a wonderful way to describe. they either bring together or pull and tear apart.

the funeral has had so much healing and bringing together so as Wiley says his death has been a renewal. Bless you all, a large and wonderful family with you as the loving and much loved center, as it should be. and a hug

Christmas should be wonderful for you and everybody that comes. Good for you on accepting  John's 'coming out', I would have been able to as well. Matter of fact I wondered about my youngest son for a while with his career choice of nursing after 6  years as a Cdn. Army 'Dragoon.' (Tank Commander).

Pat

The little bears return to Mom's den to get understanding to their vision. Now they will heal. May you stay healthy and enjoy the celebration holidays etc. Thank God for Moms.

Yes, Pat_B. That's the ticket. Maybe, in the end, your ex has managed to leave you something very important - the reconnection of your close family. It's something that can't hold up without effort on part of each member, not with the hectic way of life in present time. In my family, we work at it constantly - it is so easy to drift, and realize too late how we miss the joy of being together. Skype is not very technical - just download it free from the net & follow directions. You need a webcam - and you'll love it!
