Well, that's a good-enough reason. but do you find the comments you get help with the writing?

I enjoy writing and this is a place where I can get feedback from non-family and friends in the flesh.

I can't NOT write, and I enjoy reading about other's thoughts and experiences too. Maybe it's a need to share (no man is an island), and Blogit is a fine place to do that. I've relished the scene with the sun touching my mountains first as you described - it's awesome every single time.

Educated people from long ago kept journals and made notes, diaries

to aid their memory. They're useful if one ever plans to write an autobiography or a family history, whether or not they're intended for other readers. I think we write so people will remember us, with some exceptions. It's probably like leaving our footprints behind us in the sand, never mind that the images wash away in the next tide.

I would never keep a diary when it only meant not to share it with others. I mean, not like I don't have privacy, but just that I love to share my words and thoughts and feelings. What motivates me to share in blog? Hmm... I'll say the phrase "Sharing is caring." ... or maybe I just want some attention (lol).

Pannion having never kept a diary for more than a week. I suggest self disciplined people are the most likely and young girls, both for different reasons. I don't know what they are though. The morning sun is the really great thing to happen since neighbours cut their trees it plonks itself in the East.
