Re: a different perspective
Right! That's the ticket! A different perspective! The story is so good, it PLEADS to be explored again, not just cast aside.

Re: how wonderful and exciting this series is going to be. If any one can
I'm excited about it. I have 2 more episodes pretty much done , and two in the works.
As an English teacher, whenevever literature came around (I mostly focused on trying to teach the little beggars to speak and write their lovely mother tongue!) I used to look forward to introducing them to the bravest, glibbest, wiliest literary figure I knew! What a trip!

Re: CC
I hear you. For me, the problem was length. I liked the 4-line stanza and had to shorten things to make them fit (e.g. "wood horse" instead of "wooden horse"). On the one hand, I was counting on the reader's familiarity with the story to fill in the blanks; on the other, I wanted to leave the big-horse/small gate idea free to operate.
Failing that, as you say, I hoped no one would notice.

how wonderful and exciting this series is going to be. If any one can
write the classics it will be you. This is going to be a project i am going to enjoy. I can see this becoming part of the school curriculum.

Wow - you're good! An ordinary, sick to death man/soldier's musing - a famous event from a different perspective.

I quite liked this Bob, if I may just say the horse didn't quite seem big enough perhaps if you had said towering gates or something, perhaps no one else will notice.
