My father was also ambidextrous, but mysteriously, my brothers and sisters and I are not. As far as that disc throwing is concerned, I assume a lot of practice is in order. You must learn to compensate for those curves!

I would think there are many reasons to keep both hands practiced and in use on a regular basis. One reason that comes to mind is what happened to me when I broke my right arm in the days when they still put the hard cast from fingers to shoulder. I was pretty helpless at taking care of myself as I had never used my left hand for anything.
