Oh dear you are an intellectual , Never mind if you go back into history it is all very grimy.
I remember when the rent of a cottage was half a dollar a week, but one had to put bowls in the bedroom when it rained. Did you write the poem, it has a certain medievial charm. The things they got up to in those days.

That's okay . . . you're allowed. I love history too, but was only able to read one book on the Crusades. However, it only focused on the Fourth Crusade, which was a complete disaster ( the Christian forces diverted themselves from the Middle East to attack the wealthy city-state of Constantinople instead. Greed swayed them from their intended mission ). Still a fascinating read though. Enjoy!
