Re:
Thank you, MakLee! Glad my little tale brought you a chuckle! As for next year's birthday, I don't think I'll be kissing a bunch of teenaged girls again! Who knows? Are there a bunch of middle-aged women out there in need of someone's facilities? Either way, I don't think my wife would aprove!

Re: We don’t have to sing the birthday blues!
Thank you, Pannonian! Yeah, I've heard that cliche before too, and what makes it especially humorous is the fact that the only woman I "feel" is my wife, who's the same age as me! I know, I know . . . when you get into your 70's and 80's, suddenly 52 sounds pretty good! Thanks for stopping by!

Thanks, calia. Glad you liked it! And thanks for the kiss as well. I believe the bathroom is free now . . .

We don’t have to sing the birthday blues!
First, thanks for stopping by on my blog and commenting on it.
Second, you are not as old as you feel but as old as the woman you feel
(Yes, I know it's a cliche but I like it.)
And lastly, I wish I were your age.
Happy Birthday!

Re:
Don't do that, TAPS! In a way, although I just turned 52, I could also say that I'm on my way to 80! Pull back, and stay 75 as long as you can! And I guess a happy birthday is in order! So, from one Leo to another . . . Happy Birthday!

Re:
Thank you, Eleanor. And you're right. Although I would prefer to say that I was 22 or 32 rather than 52, someday even 52 may not sound so bad! It's all a matter of perspective, I guess!

Re:
That's not a bad way to feel, luster! And it's a shame that a few "bad apples" can spoil any party. I guess I should feel lucky that the only negative thing that happened at that particular party was the invasion by a few "strangers." But I think I dealt with it rather "sportingly," don't you? Thanks for the belated birthday wishes!

Re:
And that's all you can do, FSI. Like I wrote, it's really just a number, and it's really just a matter of how you approach it, and what you do with your life. Some days you may feel 20, and other days you may feel 80! Life is what you make of it, and birthdays really have nothing to do with it!

Re:
Thanks, adnohr, and thanks for the kiss as well ( although I think my facilities may be occupied at the moment! ) Actually, it's become very difficult for my family members to gather for anyone's birthday anymore, since we're scattered all over the place, but we do try to get together for "special" milestone birthdays ( 30, 40, 50, etc. ) My birthday was nice, because my wife made it that way, and she's the most important person in my life right now!

Re: Jimmy
Thanks, naut. Yeah, girls can be fickle that way! LOL Actually, I think 14 was much worse for me than 18, and I would have NEVER confronted a group of girls in that way at that age! Sometimes I still can't believe I even considered doing that at all! But it was fun . . .!

I think I have been saying, "I'm almost 75," for the last six months. Well, tomorrow is it. After that, I'll probably start saying something like, "I'm on my way to 80." LOL

To me, it's always just the increasing of numbers and nothing more. Anyhow and anyway, happy birthday. :)

well belated happy birthday. It seems that my daughter would go to parties and there would be friends of friends and some no one knew and sadly there seemed to be always something stolen. I am almost 69 but I think I am only 18

My parents are the same way when it comes to accepting their age. I feel that by doing so you and them get the most of out of your moment.

There you go - and I don't even need to use your bathroom! Birthdays are special in my family, just because it's one of those times we all gather together and enjoy the day. Hope your birthday is as happy as any of ours!!

Jimmy
For me 14 was an important year! For some reason I was convinvced that a girl who thought I was too young for her (she was actually less than a year older) would find me irresistible after I turned 14. Unfortunately she wasn't impressed at all by my 'near adult' status, as I saw it, LOL...
Oh, and Happy Birthday!
