hollow threats
landlords do stuff like that
stick with the lease -- let it run out then move -- as i said above -- too much trouble for them to evict you -- and there is nothing they can arrest you for -- and once the apartment is empty it will probably take them several months to rent it again -- you have the upper hand -- they are just trying to snowball you -- when you find a good place then agree to end the lease --
you should check with local laws
