I know of a lot of people who are quick to bring up their marriage or current relationship to an ex...You capture the feelings so well in the second poem.

All of this post is wonderful. Yes I do understand the pain perhaps but there is also a new beauty of a different kind if we only know it. Be blessed.

Re: Bubble gum color; one of my favorites!..:)
Dear me Ray I hope you did not suffer from the same symptoms, one had to whip up an almost ethereal image to confront someone. I try to get under the skin of your poetry,

Re: adnohr
Adnohr I think we will skip the sad minstrel, now feet together, salt , mustard, viinigar pepper. I bet you could teach Smooch to skip and it will get you ready for your big romance.. I visualize you walking with your dogs in the snow up the hilly terrain and it would evoke a romantic feeling to a man in his prime . Well I can still remember when I was in my prime, I thInk.

The first poem would make a skipping song, nut the second would be a sad minstrel's ballad.

Bubble gum color; one of my favorites!..:)
Time is the master of surprise indeed...I appreciate the explanation of your poem, CCT; I try to do so occasionally, if I can understand myself..:) The poem itself is poignant, honest and well written..

Re: love the colour of the flower of course, your flowers are a daily joy for
Yes I thought you might think so Kabu, The one disadvantage or advantage in those days was that one knew the history of the family one might be crawling onto bed with.

Are you going to go to any of the Olympics? Are you taking a fair lady along with you?

CCT
Replicating little ones with #1 wifey became a hobby for me too, five of them. Then I became step-pa to six more. Glad that's over. Loved that flower, another dilly. The poem is kind of sad, having to wait for a conclusion not really desired is how I read it my friend.
