There's got to be a way by which addicts are removed from driving or generally being in charge of children.  Nothing can be a worse curse than being enslaved to drink and drugs.

Dear One

A very sad, sad scene. I am sorry you got into that and I am sorry for your memories but I am delighted you are out of that situation now. God bless you dear one. I wish he did not even have his little girl. I  hope he stays in jail.

Having grown up in exactly this situation, I could really feel for the little girl. Thankfully she had somewhere safe to stay that night. Personally, I have no qualms about calling the police if I see someone driving under the influence, tho it is still challenging to make that call every time. I envy you the bush air.

I really hate that type of a situation.  It really ruins everyone's good time.  Sorry for your bad deja vu.

That was a difficult exercise for you to deal with luv and I'm happy you can smile again and put that episode of life into the shredder. Have a happy weekend.

I had a feeling trouble might be brewing as soon as you mentioned a "friend of a friend." Sometimes they can be the worst people to deal with in certain social situations!

Oh you poor thing Adnhor, just what you did not want. You have been through it all and I hope you never encounter such a prob. again. Luckily  you have good children to support you, well I suppose you support them mostly. I am glad you have those two dogs an unwanted suitor would be most unfortunate.

It is sad to see people acting like this. Here's hoping for the best.

Addiction can be so menacing!! It rips the fabic that keeps lives together and they end up being a slave to their habit(s)! I am glad you are okay but the flashback can be haunting! sam

I'm with Naut...

I have grown less patient lately, why put up with crap when there is something one can do. I haven't been in that situation so I can't say for sure I would call the police but when he left I would have. Keep breathing that clean bush air.

isn't it wonderful to wake to a new day and know that all that pain is

behind you and with your beautiful smile you are going forward.

I know those flash backs and at times like that i am blessed in having the nicest nig loving hand to hold, to rub against my face and Know too that I have gone forward. Luv ya' girlie.

I'm so glad you have your smile back - as I knew you would, of course! I have on occasion encountered people like that in the past, although not recently. Which is good, since I find myself with far less patience for that sort of behaviour than I used to have, would probably call the cops and be reviled as a party-pooper...

Wow! what a reminder to be grateful for today's blessings!

In spite of his actions, I'm glad he made it to jail instead of the emergency room, and that he didn't take any innocents out along the way. I love your son. He reminds me of mine, doing a nice follow-up with you.
