Everybody who will not watch because of that will know they made a tiny difference, I for one will not turn it on for a single minute. We need their minute they need our patronage. Are we the same as the games head or are we different? I am not watching!

That one moment of silence would be so good for all of us.  I remember it well without the silence, but how much more poignant it would be if we all remembered together.  They well deserve such a posthumous tribute.

How utterly horrible! There should be a moment of silence, it's the very least that should happen! I find it troubling that folks do not want to offend those who are responsible! Amazing what this world is coming to! sam

I can't say that I'm surprised that they're not doing the one minute of silence. Absolutely terrible.

No - it isn't lovely at all. It's a complete cop-out. Disgraceful!

I will hold my own minute of silence in respect during the opening ceremony. Thank you for bringing this to our attention, I loved the way you wrote this.

Total waste of innocent lives and they are so talented too - I don't blame the widow for initiating the "silence".

i was watching the Olympics, the first time that I could view them on

Television. I was living in the double decker bus converted to a home. Kids were babies and the Olympics were a change from baby talk. LOL. when the massacre happened, that was when I started reading and learning about why and broke my heart with it all.
