Amazing! I worked in a print shop for a few years myself, running two machines ( AB Dick 350 & 360 ). And I can't even imagine what it would have been like if that shop didn't have AC!

A nice rant! Maybe Mr. Gutenberg is smiling down on you, especially since apparently he didn't do all that well for himself with his invention...

Goodness Pat think I prefer our chilly weather and rain although heat is suppose to be coming so you might get a weather change. All I remember about printing is I had a box as a present a printing set. I think I did write one letter to an uncle in the army, hands were stained well afterwards.

Oh what a wonderfully nostalgic post for me to read luv 'cuz I'd be scrambling with my toolkit to get at the machine to pull the pot off the linotype maybe, install a new heater, or bang away with my impact screwdriver to get the screws out holding the mouthpiece on, so I could clear the dross out of the crucible throat. I didn't know about the AC being in a print shop first. Maybe I should do some memory blogs of some of those shops if I could remember. Loved your post darlin'.

I just adore reading a rant like this where you share something from your
past. It sets me off on my own thoughts as well.
