Re: I like this poem. You captured the rhythm very well
Lo Pat, I think I was going to give this to someone, it made me mad at the time, the question I mean, I just remembered. Women always asked me such strange questions.
I gave one one some flowers and she asked it is a compliment? Can you decipher such queries.
Now to fry he he.

I like this poem. You captured the rhythm very well
and it made the sad words feel more light-hearted. Some of your work is so wistful I have to read quickly or it catches me up in a sigh. Eggs? I might not trust those I found by the gate, not knowing how long they'd been there.

duck eggs are usually much much bigger than chickens eggs (almost 50% bigger), if that's any help and I do like the porm, it's a long way from being rubbish

Re: adnohr
Once we had a scare with Duck eggs. Goodness don't you have meat free packs in your store. Pies, and even bacon which is not very nice, chicken, saugage rolls, bits of stuff called mince, everything. No buffalo. but I expect it will come eventually.

Re: Kabu
All loves are cheap today cheaper than yesterday,I know I ought to eat at least one egg just to compliment the poor old chickabiddy. I still think your squirrels would have as lovely nutty flavour, but I shall never know.

Unlike Sam I would try the eggs. probably in a cake or biscuits.
How nice of someone to be appreciative. The flower is a beauty again today. You may be getting too much damp and cold but your flowers are way better than mine are this year.
Ant the Poem...well I just commented to our friend Bill, some loves just don't last and that's that. Gotta get over it and move on but you were smitten at one time and good for you, remembering the good times.
We don't eat much meat either these days but we enjoy eggs and some chicken and fish. And if i caught someone roasting a squirrel ...I'd I'd I'd ....roast them!!

I think I would pass on both eggs! And I forgot to mention in my last comment that the carnation was rather beautiful! It seems no one can get the ideal growing conditions! My garden seems to be lagging this due to the intense heat! I probably should put more water on it but it feels like such a waste because it will just evaporate! It's still mid 80'sF at midnight and by then I can think about watering! lol sam

Why give the tame duck's egg a pass? And what is imitation chicken?? I think you do quite well with your brain, CC, and your poetry proves it!
