My goodness you have had and are dealing with some ailments! I liked how the poem started out because I could relate to it totally! But, once one gets going it makes all the difference in the end! Here's to feeling much better day by day! sam

Exercise seems to improve most conditions if it is not overdone. I am trying a couple of things to detoxify my system and get it more alkaline, less stiffness and more general health. I have ordered Sun Chlorella from Japan, it is said by Nasa to be a superfood that can increase energy and encourage weight loss. (I get no commissions on it, just have an interest in it and will see how it works for me).

Re:Shobana
What a gracious comment you left! It means a lot to me, coming from you, so, thank you It's a poem I've wanted to write for a long time, because it tries to show the strange attitude I have towards walking/hiking . The toughest part each time is getting started. The only time I DIDN'T get out of the car and get moving was just before the pancreatic cancer was diagnosed. My body knew something was wrong. Strange.

I'm glad that you have an avenue to share your poems and thoughts. It helps to be able to talk about it. You have such a gift for poetry and yes loved this down to earth one that you have written to. A friend of mine goes by the adage that Life is about opportunities and you have been given the opportunities to share your life experience with us. Thank you Bob for your comment in my blog and I love the skies and the rain and never tire of writing of it.

Re: Congratulations on being able to write the poem at last for...You did it!!!
Kabu, I get so discouraged when I get on the scale that 1) I make sure to include a hill in my hike and 2) I've stopped looking at scales.

Re: your marbles
Oh, your marbles are okay. Last time I counted, they were all there. In fact, I read your words very carefully, for fear of missing something. As for the funny short trousers, I can't imagine the ones you mean. Maybe it's the funny short hikers you have over there.

Well now he puts a poem in the slot . I would be inclined to sit in the car with the door open and write a poem like this, Bob I have hundreds of things I would rather do than go hiking especially if one has to wear those funny short trousers. It is a shame folk leaving but the annoying thing is those two at top of comments must have immunity to my potato spells. I know you suffered a tough patch, I used to cringe when I read your ordeal, so I don't mind you deliberating over the state of my marbles.

Re: Re: CC
I despair of ever having a normal conversation with you, but I've come to like it this way. We must talk it over over a cold beer when you come to visit and Ginny can listen to your stories.

Well make up your mind Bill he will be 79 before you get this poem on the road. For your information Bob I have not said I am leaving, you miss all the sexy bits and gardening hints, but I know you only love that invasive plant that your poor wife hates. Isn't that right Ginny he should plant up some nice boxes of Winter primroses.
