Love your poem - you manage to extract some sunshine even from the rain...

I've been lucky when it comes to weeks. My mother, not so much...I find that pain does lead to a lot of writing inspiration.

Re: You are Priceless. Keep writing about nothing.. It is most entertaining
One sleeps in separate beds and holds hands. The goose has enjoyed the rain and still poddles around like me sometimes better than others. I will try and show my cat and the black birds if I can, I bet they would not get away with it with we know who.

About 70 miles of sardine packed cars. The trouble is we can get rain and two miles away no sign of any. Yes I prefer the rain to that kind of heat, even though it is costing Arthur has always got the heater going.

Like the others, I love the poem - it brought on another smile. That and your sleepy pining for cherries.

I am envious of the rain you are getting but I also understand that enough is enough as well! The poem was a good read, too! So, when you are thinking or seeing the rain think of me because it is 106F right now and so hard to be outside! In the end, neither one of us is getting much gardening done! Hang in there it has to end eventually! Are you close to London because I don't want the Games to be washed out! LOL, just some bad humor! sam

WOW
We are finally getting rain we needed, maybe you will stop getting rain you do not need.I loved the flower, but the story I really loved. It was the portrait of an older couple being kind, sweet and thoughtful of one another in a whole different mode of romance a new time of life. That was beautiful, as is that era in life.

You are Priceless. Keep writing about nothing.. It is most entertaining
and how well you described elderly love with its gentleness and all those exhausting passions spent. Tis as I think of my parents, married lovers for more than fifty years. How did they manage that???????
Enjoy your fish and chips it is such a naughty treat.
Drink water afterwards though. Don't want any cramps at night.
By the way, is the old Goose still around?
