Re: Ah, CCT, the poem this time is so full of questions

Goodness Pat her faith was exceptional. Most are more sceptical. I can see her face now unforgettable/

Re: Re: Kabu

I meant to write flowers, not glowers. Sigh!

i am so glad Archie has some sense of fair. and that the grass is cut. Tell him that you have been named a National....an International treasure and must be taken care of.

Ah, CCT, the poem this time is so full of questions

to which I have no satisfactory answers. Your poem reminds me I read something about the life of Mother Teresa, how she had prayed faithfully throughout her service to humanity, but never in all her devotions did she ever receive any confirmation that there was a listener. I was in awe that she could continue to believe in the face of such silence.

CCT, no need to re-think; you've written an excellent poem and I felt enlightened after reading it..

Re: Sam

Sam a little wishful thinking on my part , but I shall persevere for a while, It is rather tiring when one's muscles ache, but this area  is well known for this sort of prob. You are on a\ bit of a roll getting tough with these guys and your advice is something most kids should be taught. Just to let you know the sun has just been rising and flicking on and off as it hits the clouds, the grass is still  wet, but we mow and leave it to turn to compost.

Re: Powerfully touching on the emotions many of us have about our own demise

Yes Sorry Ray I should have thought I just posted it as I was sorting through some stuff.

I know you have been jolly brave about it all, and I do hope what you must hope to get a repair. Of course it is unnerving to see those one have known pass on and visualize what it must be like, I don't think one need to worry on that score, one can live to be old and feel unhappy and you have your children  to sweeten the days. I have not given up on the juice yet, I'll probably need a Cherry Orchard.

Re:

Well of course Jay I have grown cynical in my old age I used to be like you writing from the heart. There is not much incentive or encouragement for passionate writers like yourself, if one is famous any old rubbish will receive acclaim. I tell you once I wrote a poem everyday for a year. I did not know that you did politics but I hope you do get a writing career . Good tip get the Concise Oxford English Dictionary on disk, I use it all the time the one on here is useless. Sorry to have been a bit cruel to you in my last comment I did not mean to be, I know life has been tough at times, sometimes it is when not under the influence. I hope you become famous, well at least happy. Ride em cowboy

To make you happy I would eat a caraway cake.   Archie cut the grass and refused payment.

Re:Taps

WEll one can't expect results in one day I expect most folk would be using exessive pain killers, but we are tough and rugged in these parts and keep hollering, well that's what my poor old Dad did.

Here is to hoping that you feel better...In the Baltimore Area, all of the funeral home employees seem alike to me.

It does seem that the more funerals one participates in, the more one thinks about their own personal one that will come no matter how much we try to shoo it away.

I almost forgot to tell you how sorry I am for your pain and I do hope all gets better for you. I must keep my news and politics blog open for one more day as what is on it is being considered for a writing job on the blaze.com.

Best wishes always

I just wanted to say good bye to you CC. You have always been kind. When I posted about my anniversary of being drug free today and received only 3 comments it hurt too much. As a recovering addict I must do what is best for me and knowing my triggers this is best. I wish you all the best CC, but I do differ with what you say about poetry. It is not just about kittens and flowers, but rather about feelings from the heart. Something most here on blogit do not understand. I did my best.

Powerfully touching on the emotions many of us have about our own demise

Probably tmi here, but I have a strong phobia about attending funeral services since being diagnosed with a fatal disease - I don't fear death on a conscious level, but maybe this having to force myself to go pay my last respects to family and friends (4 have passed on in the last two years) is a sign of inner dread - never bothered me before finding out about my illness. Strange...
Well, sorry if I babbled on too much, CCT; really enjoyed the flowers and poem.  I am sorry the juice wasn't more of a long term solution; hurting is the pits!

Dang it! I was hoping that the pain would be gone! I do like your remedy though! I suspect it takes time to cure what ails us! I had to chuckle when I read outliving the funeral director! It took me back to my college days when I dated a gentleman, and he was of the somber sort as you said, who was studying to be a mortician. But, I just couldn't wrap myself around the whole concept because it just gave me the creeps so it didn't last too long! LOL!

Thank you for your nice comment regarding the nasty one that was left at my blog! It's refreshing to know that there are people out there who have greater issues than I! HAHAHA I left him a comment regarding his rudeness and he deleted it! O, the guilt of it to delete! Such is life, eh?

And, as you know I have been working with Jes to get her finances in order. I paid a collection for her, we use my account because her's is new and untainted and we want to keep it that way, and I got a call this morning from a smart arse demanding payment for the collection, medical no less, that had been paid. So he got my ire and then my mouth and I told him that I knew the bill ($63) was not worth his time to take to the court system and she would just wait it out! I got out the paperwork and discovered they were trying to collect twice for the same bill! It has since been resolved and they will remove it from her report! The thing that gets me is that they make the error and she pays for it but it's like pulling teeth to get them to remove things! I have to go in and dispute the first one before they will okay it to come off! A never ending vicious cycle when bills end up in collection! So, I have told my kid not to get into this kind of trouble again by paying stuff when it's due! She has done that now going into the 4th year so I truly do not worry about her from this point forward! The tough lessons that young people have to learn on their own at times!

So, I was happy to read that you saw the sun, I wish for clouds most every day of late! Ah humans, we are never satisfied! LOL! sam
