Re: so few words
It really shows the beauty anf mystery of figurative language when used to express emotion. I wish that beautiful image was all my own idea.

Re:Jay
When and if you do see it, I think you'll be struck, too. It's dignified and imposing.

Kabu, I wish I had, too - as I remarked to CC, I remembered being struck by the image in a reading I heard.

Re: top score
Thanks, CC. I remembered hearing the image in a reading and appropriated it. Last night I took my niece to the slam in Suffern. It was the best yet - a competition with four slam "teams" from along the Hudson River valley First prize was typically zany -a nice dish with a magic-marker inscription that wouldn't withstand the first washing. The 5 judges were selected with no more than the usual care - none. As Bryan our science-teacher leader says, "Who cares? It's all for the poetry." We had 40 or 50 people from all over just for the fun. Not being on a team, I just read my Hollywood Haikus during the open-mic portion. A real, typical slam" poet memorizes his stuff and doesn't just read it,but performs it.

One day I wish to visit DC Bob, but not yet, I still cannot stand before that wall and not see me, I just can't.

You broke my heart capturing so much in these few words. I wish that I had
thought of that.
