I loved school - I thrived there compared to the home front. Darn - aren't we sitting in front of a computer enough as adults? Let the children learn together..and play together.

I remember that story very well and
have kind of watched over the years as everything Asimov's characters were talking about has largely come to pass. And as much as keeping books around takes up space, I have to keep them, even if I do enjoy my Kindle.

There's something to be said for learning social skills! It is an intriguing idea nonetheless! sam

I have a nephew who was totally home schooled. He says that it was so lonely and that he missed so much by not being in a class with other children. When he got to go to college, he joined everything.

Well Calia we are going to come up against bullies and unfairness in life. Kids have to learn how to deal with this hopefully, I don't know how, there have always been little mean aggressive children. One would hope a teacher would spot this and try to break the trend. Also there are timid little kids who just tend to be bullied not always because they are weak, but because they are non-aggressive. Sometimes they can be befriended by a stronger character and improve their status. Perhaps it would even be better if the robot teacher just stood by in the class room and specialised in teaching. The teachers meanwhile should have had training to teach the children to behave rationally.
