I am with you! We get a break on the trash bill if we recycle, they provide the cans and we don't even have to sort it! I see so many in my neighbor who do not recycle and it's such a shame! sam

All the cities in Salt Lake County provide recycle containers. We do not even have to separate our recycles, they do that at the factory. Recycling is something I can get behind.

Recently Son #3 gave me a lesson on recycling because he noticed that I was missing a whole lot of things I could have been recycling.  He is very conciencious about it and I felt badly about being caught being haphazard.  After his pointers, I'm feeling good about doing it right.

There is a lot of recycling here and in Australia. People have become

used to separating and setting out the correct waste on the right day. But there is ofcourse laziness and some farm folk still bury dangerous stuff on the back of their properties.

In Montreal, if something that can be recycled is thrown in the garbage, one can get a hefty fine. That could be a solution for laziness.

Goodness FS we even recycle waste food, Well I don't because I rarely waste food and the birds gobble up small odds and ends like caviar . We have boxes for glass, boxes for paper and nearly everything these days even engine oil and cooking oil, car batteries etc will be picked up. It seems a miserable job. To watch the men sort through the boxes and some just bung it all in together. I try to keep my selection segregated, my boxes are always put back neatly,

FSI

There's a lot we can do, but I'm not sure what we can do about laziness...
