S For myself it’s unbelievable that Nixon proposed a healthcare plan like Great Britain and Canada’s total government. However it only provided it for low income families. Because of this limitation Kennedy and other Democrats voted it down. If it passed people would have hated him like Johnson for the Vietam War and his Watergate scandal. Similarly to Johnson’s Great Society and Medicare he would have left us with the healthcare for the poor. In those days the parties were middle of the road. And individual politicians treated the issues separately. This current healthcare package concerns me. It’s like you better have health insurance or else. I thank God that I’m covered for the most part with diabetes and dental needs love. BC-A, Bill’s R®st
