A alien with a pension huh?? I don't know CC but aliens have much more fun than us I think - with their extra sensory perception they can do wonders taking on the pensioner who had more glasses of wine than he deserved at forty-nine..lol

Re: SAM

LO Sam Raining again It is not the grass cutting so much it is manoeuvring around the twenty or so fruit trees that makes it awkward. I shall definitely have to have a different system next year. Thank you I will take care.

I think I once got caught on a barbed wire fence in almost that same way, that same way, as both were caught.

The flower is gorgeous! And I loved the close on the poem! I can't believe you still do not have your lawn under control; it seems like it is taking forever! I am a bit jealous of your rain, we hardly get any in the summer! When you were talking about the wire I was thinking you could have hurt yourself quite badly but, aside from the fence falling you came out of it in good shape body wise! Take care of yourself and don't overdo things, please! sam

Re: First, the flower is absolutely fabulous.

Yes it is damned annoying Pat one wants to do a chore and it appears worse than what it is. Self preservation perchance, I think it must be an old English carnation I shall try and take a cutting.

Re: Chiff.Chaff.

I should have taken a running jump at the fence Wiley, perhaps next time

Yard work can lead to a lot of interesting things...Changing a person's mind may very well be the most difficult thing to do out there.

Chiff.Chaff.

Sorry you got 'hard wired' old chap but that flower is most stunning and have a grand day.

First, the flower is absolutely fabulous.

As for the collapsed fence, I can see it, and feel how it was to be stuck. Our bodies once were playgrounds, now seem more like shackles. I tell myself "deal with it."  Love the alien analogy, the silver ladies. Write on!

I had to google strimming because I hadn't heard of it before.  Found out I used to have one, just called it something else.  I'll never forget the time that I tried to use it on the wall that had become overgrown with kudzu.  I was doing it barefoot and came down on the top of my foot with that thing.  It really did a number on the top of my foot.

An hour or so ago (middle of the night) if finally started raining here--a slow, steady happy rain.  We need it so badly.  I hope it keeps raining for a while.
