I love writing exercises....some of my best work comes from them....See if your local library ahs a writer's group....My group has been around for 6 years....don't know what I would do without it!

Good luck to you!! PublishAmerica helped me publish my first book. You have to do all of the editing and marketing on your own,you also have to buy your own books, but they do everything else for free! It's a bit of a different concept, but certainly head and shoulders above paying thousands to self publish or applying to lots of "traditional" publishers with no luck.
