I think the question is

Did you enjoy life? If you did you automatically made it better for the people around you as well.

I feel that you are spot on with your assessments. Certainly this is how we should be thinking about our own lives.

Kind of a strange analogy/comparison between the points awarded on game shows versus points accumulated in life. But you're right. In the end, it really doesn't matter. It's more important what people think of you when you've left the room as opposed to when you entered it.
